Someone left me a poor/inaccurate review on Facebook Marketplace. What can I do?
This is maddening. We pour ourselves into providing good products, good prices, and good customer service. We package with care, ship on time, then BAM! One Star. The nature of online selling leads to this. With volume sales, you will never make everyone happy. Also, people will make mistakes, you will get 1 star but the written review says you were great.
As of this writing (12/23/21) reviews are in flux. Many are experiencing issues with being able to see their reviews. There is an option to report the review. I personally have never seen action taken from doing that.
My advice is to pay no attention. Don’t even look. Focus that effort on setting yourself up to receive positive reviews. I start that off by opening up communication as soon as I receive an order. I have the following saved in my keyboard clipboard and I send it to EVERY single order.
Hi, thank you for the order. ? I really appreciate it.
If you get a notification about the item being out of stock or price change, please know your order is not affected, Facebook sends notices to anyone who viewed the item regardless of purchase. ?
I’m currently sending orders out 2-3 business days after ordering (often sooner).
Once shipped, tracking info posts to this chat and can also be found in: marketplace / your profile / purchased orders.
Please note, carriers have had unprecedented delays. Once shipped, all I know is what tracking shows.

I also send a thank you note to every single order. Once an item is delivered, I send a short thank-you note and ask them if they would consider leaving an honest review. I also invite them to my business page.
